Well this might be my summer of banana nice cream! Seeing it’s so hot out now, I haven’t been interested in cooked foods so much. So the quick thing to do is of course create a nice cream recipe.
This right here hit the spot! I do hope to create more raw food recipes, but I haven’t had any grand ideas for that, so nice cream to the rescue!!
Ingredients for nice cream:
3 frozen bananas
1/3 cup natural peanut butter or substitute with Almond butter
1/3 cup raw jelly ( refer to recipe below)
1 teaspoon Chia seeds
2 medjool dates
1 cup mixed berries ( strawberries, blueberries, raspberries )
Non dairy milk to blend
Prepare jelly first. Add the mixed berries and dates to your food processor mix until well combined. Then pour in a bowl and stir in Chia seeds. Set in fridge for an hour, or be lazy like me at times and just use as is. In high speed blender add the frozen bananas, peanut butter, almond milk and blend well. Pour 1/2 the mixture into a glass. Add the raw jelly to the rest and blend until combined. Top the nice cream off with that mixture and dig on in!
So yeah I’m in love with banana nice cream. There are just so many different concoctions for it.
Another hot day in nj so I needed something to cool off with. This was simple and oh so good!
Ingredients for nice cream:
1 large Orange
Zest of 1 orange
2 large frozen bananas
1/4 teaspoon tumeric powder
Add all ingredients to high speed blender or food processor. Blend until well combined. Easy peasy!
I’ve been meaning to make this soup for about 3 weeks, but sometimes I get lazy with my meals and end up eating banana nice cream. Today I decided this soup was happening for my dinner. Not the best day for a soup creation seeing it’s 90° out, but I’m cooling off in front of my AC.
As always with my meals this was a quick easy recipe. Loaded with spices that are beneficial to overall health, with veggies and chickpeas.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
Ingredients for curry soup
1/2 can coconut milk
1/2 jar of madras curry Indian simmer sauce ( I buy this from whole foods, if you can’t find this in the store order online)
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon tumeric powder
1 teaspoon tandoori masala powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 /2 cup chickpeas
1 large diced carrot
1/2 diced yellow onion
1 cup kale chopped
In pan add olive oil and onion and saute for 5 minutes then add carrots and saute until fully cooked. In a pot add in the 1/2 of jar of coconut milk and 1/2 of the jar of madras curry sauce. Mix well. Then add in the carrots and onion , chick peas , and kale and spices. Cook to a boil then simmer on low heat until kale is fully cooked. Once cooked add to bowl for serving. Grate the cauliflower rice on top and serve. This makes 2 small servings so fiddle with ingredients for a larger serving.
It’s a hot day here in New Jersey. I was planning on updating the blog with a cooked recipe that I’ve been meaning to make for weeks, but it’s just not a hot soup kind of day.
So I decided to make nice cream my dinner. Seeing it’s banana nice cream the creations are endless. I never tried this mixture, but gave it a go and the results are absolutely delicious.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Ingredients for nice cream :
2 frozen bananas
2 ripe diced frozen peaches
1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger ( or use fresh)
2 tablespoons almond milk to blend
Add all ingredients to food processor or high speed blender. Blend to combine. You can either serve it emmediately or you can add to a tray and freeze for a more solid nice cream.
