Raw brownies 

I was hoping to bake brownies, but wanted a healthier version. So I whipped up simple raw brownie bites. 

If you are a brownie lover I suggest you give these wonderful treats a try. Simple to make, but be warned you may eat a bunch in one sitting. 

Raw brownie recipe: 

1 cup pitted dates 

2 cups walnuts or almonds ( I used almonds)

4 to 5 tablespoons cacao powder 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract 

Pinch of sea salt 

Directions:  

Add ingredients to your food processor and blend until well combined. Form dough into balls and refridgerate for at least a half hour. If you chose almonds for the base you can blend in some chopped up walnuts for added texture.  You can coat them in cacao powder as well.
