Banana nice cream with date caramel sauce (Raw, vegan)

Oh how I love banana nice cream. I make so many different types and creations are endless. 

This is a yummy one I created and was able to slip in a super food to bump up the amazingness! I added a bit of maca powder. If you have never heard of or tried maca powder I highly recommend it. I get mine from whole foods. 

Here’s the breakdown on why maca powder is so beneficial. It’s rich in vitamins B,CA and Enjoy. Provides plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and amino acids. Helps with sexual function, women’s health and mood, general health, and skin. So what’s not to like about all of that. You only need about 1/2 of a teaspoon in recipes so a bag of it lasts awhile. 

Ingredients for nice cream:

2 frozen bananas 

1/4 cup almond milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 

1/2 teaspoon maca powder 


Simply blend in either food processor or high speed blender. 

Ingredients for caramel date sauce:

7 medjool dates

1/2 tablespoon coconut oil

1/3 cup almond milk 

Pinch of shredded coconut ( optional) 

Pinch of sea salt


Blend ingredients in high speed blender. Then layer the nice cream and caramel date sauce in glass.
